POOL RULES
Pawz for Wellness Policies
1. State law requires proof of rabies vaccination for dogs 13 weeks of age and older. You or your veterinarian must provide certification of your dogs’ current rabies vaccination prior to being allowed use of Pawz for Wellness’ (PFW) facilities.
2. Prior to use of PFW facilities you must have a referral form from your veterinarian. This referral must be on a form provided by PFW, which certifies among other things that your dog is free of contagious disease or illness, which would prevent your dog from safely using PFW.
3. Prior to use of PFW facilities the dog owner must sign a General Waiver of Liability to be provided assuming the risk and legal responsibility for any injury to person or property arising out of use of PFW facilities.
4. Payment is due at time of service. PFW accepts cash or a check. A $25 service fee will be charged for any returned checks and future use of PFW may be suspended.
5. There must be 24 hours notice of a canceled appointment. You recognize the use of the PFW facilities is scheduled in advance and should you cancel your spot cannot be filled. As such you will be charged for failure to properly cancel an appointment absent extenuating circumstances determination shall be the sole discretion of PFW.
6. YOU MUST KEEP YOUR DOG ON A LEASH AT ALL TIMES BEFORE AND AFTER SWIMMING IN THE POOL. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN SUSPENSION OF THE USE OF PFW FACILITIES.
7. You are responsible for cleaning up after your dog!
8. Please park in designated areas.
9. Please do not bring small children to PFW facilities.
10. Please do not pet or handle another owner’s dog.
11. The dog owner must remain with his/her pet at all times. Family members and guests must remain on the property of PFW. PFW does not own the property adjacent to the facility. THE OWNER OF THE ADJACENT PROPERTY WILL STRICTLY ENFORCE NO
TRESPASSING.
DIRECTIONS
Directions from route 8 N to S
- Follow Route 8 south, get off exit 13.
- At the top off the ramp go right onto Bridgeport Ave, go 1 block to next
light.
- Go right, (back over Route 8). At the second light go right onto Long Hill Ave. (the first light puts you back on Route 8)
- Stay on Long Hill Ave for 1.9 miles. Go right onto Laurel Wood Drive. (it is the first right after Long Hill School)
- Stay on Laurel Wood Drive until the end (.6 miles)
- Go right onto Old Mill Rd. This is a private driveway. After the yellow house and red barn, Stay on the gravel drive and the pool house will come into
sight.
Please proceed slowly through the yard!

Directions from Merritt Parkway
- Follow Parkway to exit 53, Route 110 Shelton/Stratford
- At the bottom of the ramp head towards Shelton
- Travel approximately 1 mile and go left onto Long Hill Avenue. This road is between Casa Nova Brick oven pizza and a Cumberland Farms.
- Stay on Long Hill Ave for 1 mile. Go left onto Laurel Wood Drive.
- Stay on Laurel Wood Drive until the end (.6 miles)
- Go right onto Old Mill Rd. This is a private driveway. After the yellow house and red barn, Stay on the gravel drive and the pool house will come into sight.
Please proceed slowly through the yard!
